The White House made the decision that in light of today's tragedy in Florida, the press briefing would be canceled.
Press Secretary Sanders released the news in a statement.
thehill.com reports: The White House canceled its daily press briefing on Wednesday, citing a shooting at a South Florida high school.
“In light of this tragedy there will not be a regularly scheduled briefing as previously announced,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. “We will inform you as more information is available.”
The decision came after news broke Wednesday afternoon that a gunman injured multiple people at a school in Broward County, Fla. The suspect was still reportedly at large at the time of the White House's announcement.
