The liberal mainstream media is taking a lot of heat this morning for taking President Trump's comment about MS-13 gangs out of context. Facts are MS-13 is a very real and violent gang and are here illegally in this country.
Trump was asked about MS-13 gang members, an international criminal gang, and the President responded by calling them "animals". The liberal mainstream media immediately began showing the clip out of context claiming he called all illegal immigrants animals.
“You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before," Trump said.
However, dozens of media outlets have only shared the response to Sheriff Mims, not including her question and comments that were directly about MS-13 and in the process purposefully mischaracterizing the president’s remarks to accuse him of referring to immigrants as “animals.”
CNN, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and C-SPAN shared the clip on Twitter leaving out the crucial context of Trump’s response.
This clip begins immediately after the question:
AP has deleted, but not apologized for taking Trump's comment about MS-13 gang members out of context.
"AP has deleted a tweet from late Wednesday on Trump’s “animals” comment about immigrants because it wasn’t made clear that he was speaking after a comment about gang members," the AP tweeted out.
